L1 Community Center serves as a youth-friendly place of learning, activities, gathering, as well as a launch pad for conducting and coordinating volunteer efforts, campaigns and events.
L1 Community Center (L1CC) supports a wide range of initiatives that provide opportunities for the disadvantaged, empowering and equipping them with necessary skills and tools to better their conditions. This includes providing services for children and young people with special needs and disabilities.
L1CC accompanies teenagers and adults as well, in further studies and vocational training – offering at reduced and affordable rates, quality formational services such as:
- Remedial Courses
- Language Courses
- Computer Skills
- Practical Skills
- Vocational Training
- Skill-Building Tools
- And other Community Development Tools.
L1CC is a wider conception of the center, based on participative, community interaction and involvement. One of its main objectives is to provide an opportunity for qualified and motivated individuals or groups to contribute time, talents or resources to the service of worthy causes that are of immediate concern to them, enabling them to make a difference and bring about positive changes.
As an interaction platform, L1CC endeavors to match available resources to actual needs, maximizing reach, effect and benefits across the board.
After-School Support Program
The general lack in basic community services in many places across the country, such as libraries, playgrounds, parks and other educational or recreational facilities, makes it difficult for children to channel their energy during their free time, and develop their potential. With limited options, children from young ages are quite often left to play or hang out in the streets without enough supervision or protection.
In the face of these challenging circumstances, L1CC provides children with an opportunity to grow, progress and achieve in a youth-friendly, learning-oriented environment.
We make it possible for them to join a safe, fun, constructive, educational, and recreational setting while benefiting from quality services, learning tools, tutoring and counseling.
